Guy ThefautBSc(Hons) MRICS
Guy is the Senior Partner and key account holder for many Clients; he is responsible for overall project delivery, fees, resource allocation and Client customer care. He is an equity Partner in the Practice and has particular responsibility for marketing and key account management. Guy’s areas of expertise include major retail developments and refurbishments, feasibility cost management, hotel and commercial office developments, distribution centres and advising on the strategic planning of cost management systems and procurement methodology for Clients.
Clive RidgeBSc MRICS
Clive is an equity Partner based in the Kingston office. He is responsible for the co-ordination of QA and Best Practice for ASDA and has considerable experience in the UK food retail market. Clive is responsible for the Practice Health and Safety matters and with the financial and general Practice management.
Christopher is an equity Partner based in the Kingston office. He founded the Partnership in 1981 and led the change to LLP status in 2005. He maintains an active role within the Practice and his wide range of experience enables him to provide valuable input to live projects, business development and Practice management.
Mark TurnerBSc MRICS
Mark is an equity Partner and has been responsible for NHS Trusts and Healthcare since 2002. He is responsible for overall project delivery for a number of London based Trusts providing a valuable link between our Clients and staff. In the public sector Mark is also responsible for our framework with the Affinity Group and a number of other Universities. Mark also looks after a large number of commercial projects in the industrial and office sectors
Lee SherringtonBSc(Hons) MRICS
Lee joined the Practice in 1999 and became a partner in 2007. Lee undertakes the role of Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor for a number of Clients and has a proven track record of delivery of quality construction projects within cost and programme parameters. Lee focuses on the distribution sector and non food retail projects, working on the developer’s team or with tenants as a Tenants’ representative, and is also the Partner responsible for Oxford University and Kingston University Framework agreements, dealing with educational facilities and specialist laboratory installations.
Sandra joined CSA in 1984 as Christopher Smith's PA. As the Practice expanded, her role grew proportionately, and soon encompassed office management, HR, accounts, administration, and many other projects.For the past 10 years Sandra has concentrated solely on finance and she now handles the day-to-day running of the Practice accounts.
Anthony GuildBSc(Hons) MRICS
Anthony joined the Practice in 2003 and was appointed an Associate in 2005. Anthony has been responsible for the effective delivery of a wide range of projects in various sectors drawing on an extensive experience of both refurbishment and new build schemes acting as Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent. He has also been involved in guiding the company to gain ISO 9001 accreditation.
Daniel joined the Practice in 1997 and was made Associate in 2002. He has worked on the ASDA account for 15 years and is currently project QS for ASDA new store schemes from desktop feasibility through to final account. Daniel also has experience in Office fit out, Healthcare and Cost Planning for a 1,000,000 ft² mixed use development. Daniel has a proven ability to deliver projects to extremely tight cost targets.
Graham joined the Practice in 1995 and was appointed Associate in 2000. In addition to being a QS, Graham is the company IT Manager and has recently been instrumental in specifying and project managing the renewal of our IT infrastructure with gigabit connectivity and new servers in both Kingston and Leeds offices linked with a dedicated connection to allow on the fly synchronisation between the two servers and creating an efficient working environment. It also makes for effective remote backup in the event of a disaster affecting the data from either office. As part of the upgrade, we also have an independent full server backup operating on the Kingston server which can be used for creating a replacement server with minimum downtime should the worst happen. Graham also manages our mobile phones which are setup with email connectivity allowing our staff full communication whilst out of the office.
Since joining the Practice in 2007 as an Administration Assistant, primarily working on the ASDA account Katrina, has proved to be a valuable member of staff and is now working on all Client accounts being run from the Kingston office. In 2010 Katrina became PA to three of the Partners based in the Kingston office alongside her expanding administration role. At the same time Christopher Smith Associates rebranded and Katrina became involved in the marketing for the Practice. She is now responsible for creating Practice brochures and the preparation of tender bids for both existing and potential new Clients.
Eliot joined the Practice in 1994 and became an Associate 1999. As a Project QS he has been responsible for the delivery of complex retail and mixed use developments. His commercial experience is used in developing functional design solutions, working within tight budgetary constraints and detailed control and reporting of outturn costs are essential.Eliot’s analytical approach to projects combined with his willingness to constantly challenge the work scope and offer up ideas and alternatives can provide added value and assist with the decisionmaking process.
