To celebrate a another exciting year of growth at CSA we all came together for our annual Christmas lunch which was again a stone’s throw from our London office at Cicchetti Bar, Piccolinos in Heddon Street. With raffle prizes galore and Guy’s old favourite heads and tails game we had a brilliant time and would like to thank the team at Piccolino’s for looking after us so well for the second year in a row!

Thorpe Hall Project Scopes Prize at Awards

We are delighted to announce that after practical completion was achieved for this scheme in May 2015 this project has won two ‘Highly Commended’ certificates for the Best End of Life Care Development and the Award for Estates Improvement at the prestigious Building Better Healthcare Awards held today in London.

Christopher Smith Associates have been involved in this project since April 2012 due to extensive enabling and remedial works to the listed building being required before the new build and remodelling works could start. The new hospice has been designed both to fit sympathetically into the listed building environment as well as incorporating the varying needs of patients and their reactions to the built environment. The basis of design is to allow privacy for patients and their families with single bedded rooms with en-suite facilities but also to allow them visual and physical access to the gardens.

“Best of the Best” 2015 Awards Dinner

Christopher Smith Associates attended this sparkling event at Claridges celebrating the new talent coming into our industry from UK Universities. We have supported this event since it began and support the aims of The Association of Women in Property to enhance the profile of women in the male dominated construction and property sector.

The Best of the Best Awards provide undergraduates with valuable presentation experience, building confidence and focusing on skills that will serve them in their future careers. Out of ten deserving finalists the judges had a very hard decision to crown this year’s winner.

Christopher Smith Associates would like to offer our congratulations to the winner, Angharad John who is currently studying Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University.
